thank you, thank you

a daily celebration for the week before thanksgiving.

seven things for which i am grateful,

in no particular order.

01. my job

i am quite fortunate to have "found" my job. actually, i think my job "found" me, thank you beer and bro. curtis!

i work with wonderful (wonderful) people. i could go on and on about how much i like the people i get to be around, co-workers and members alike.

last weekend, i worked three looong days at our biggest annual event. i thought i would hate my co-workers afterward, but i ended up liking every last one of them more! (i also met the tallest man i've ever seen. we took a picture with him, which i will post later.)

i feel very appreciated for the work i do. little gifts, notes, and words of praise are plentiful. tonight, for instance, one of our members scheduled a night event, so i have to stay at work until 9 p.m. not my favorite thing, but he is so nice i don't mind the inconvenience so much. when he got here, he handed me a $20 gift card to the ice cream shop across the street, told me to go get myself a treat, and volunteered to answer our phones while i was gone. how nice is that?
